Oswego City School District General Description
Contract for Excellence
2009-10
The 2007-08 State budget provided additional funds to allow for increased opportunities for new programs to assist in raising academic success for all students. Districts that received this additional funding were also required to prepare and enter into a Contract for Excellence with the State. This contract outlines the new programs and resources the district will implement utilizing the additional funding.
Districts can build their contracts from seven allowable programs set by the State. These programs are:
- Class Size Reduction
- Increased Time on Task
- Improving Teacher/Principal Quality
- Restructuring Middle School/High School
- Full Day Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten
- Model Programs for Students with Limited English Proficiency
- Experimental Programs (requires Commissioner's pre-approval)
The 2009-10 Contract for Excellence will be a continuation of the programs that were put into place with 2007-08 and 2008-09 funds. There are not new Contract for Excellence funds for the 2009-10 school year.
Additional information regarding allocations by school and by program can be obtained by clicking on files listed under related files below.
