Fitzhugh Park Elementary Hosts Successful Leader in Me Family Game Night

Fitzhugh Park Elementary School recently celebrated a night of family bonding, games, and leadership development during its Leader in Me Family Game Night.
The event brought together families, students, and staff for an evening filled with fun, laughter, and activities that reinforced the Leader in Me program's core values. It was designed to connect families with the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, the foundation of the Leader in Me curriculum that Fitzhugh Park Elementary has adopted to help students build essential life and leadership skills.
Throughout the night, attendees rotated through game stations that emphasized some of the habits. Each game station provided an opportunity for families to see firsthand how students are learning to apply these principles both in and out of the classroom.
“It was inspiring to see our students take the lead and demonstrate the principles they’ve been learning,” said Principal Amy Molloy-Behnke. “These Leader in Me events allow families to engage in the same practices we teach here at school, building a stronger home-school connection and reinforcing our commitment to whole-child development.”
